WOW . . .got off to great start and in first place. . . .that is UNTIL I F**KING FLATTED OUT about 3/4 of way through race . . tire blown and wouldn’t hold air . . . had to run bike in to avoid a DNF . . ..enough said . . . race still fun but would have liked to done better. . finished 4 out of 5. . ..:(
My first blog about my first mountain bike race . . . . coming soon . . .and well . . was very nervous at the start. . . didn’t quite know what to expect . .but just went out and rode. . . . LOVED IT . . .mountain bike racing is now up there with my running races . . . .came in 3rd. . . . met my goals of not finishing last and i stayed on my bike (well except for that ONE creek crossing . . . )
